Textile ERP software for Surat —
from WhatsApp inquiry to dyeing, GST invoice and broker commission.
Yukti AI builds custom textile ERP software for yarn dyers, textile manufacturers and traders in Surat and across India. One system follows an order from the first WhatsApp message through quotation, recipe-based material planning, dyeing, coning, packing, QC, GST e-invoice and e-way bill, dispatch, payment and broker commission — built around how your unit actually works, not a generic fabric template.

Textile ERP software is one system that runs a textile unit's order-to-cash cycle: inquiries, quotations, orders, recipes and material, production stages, QC, stock, GST invoicing, dispatch, receivables and broker commission. For a yarn dyeing unit it must also handle per-kg recipes, weight gain and loss, and shade-wise products. Yukti AI builds it custom in Surat, from ₹30,000, with a final quote after a free workflow audit.
What is ERP in the textile industry?
In a textile business, ERP means one connected record for every order — from the moment a buyer asks for a quantity and a shade to the moment the payment and the broker's commission are settled. Accounting software sees invoices. A generic CRM sees leads. Neither understands that a 5,000 kg order for red polyester yarn needs a recipe, a dye batch, a coning lot, a packing count and a QC pass before an invoice can be raised.
That gap is why so many units in the Surat textile belt — Kim, Palsana, Sachin, Pandesara and the city's markets — still run on Tally for accounts, Excel for production, a notebook for brokers and WhatsApp for everything else. Each tool works on its own. The trouble is that they never agree, and the owner spends evenings reconciling them.
Good textile manufacturing software puts the inquiry, the quotation, the recipe, the batch, the QC result, the invoice and the payment on one linked order record. That is the principle behind every custom ERP Yukti AI builds.
Which textile businesses is this ERP built for?
- Yarn dyeing units working in polyester, catonic, bright, ATY, spun, viscose, fancy or twisted yarn, where every shade has its own recipe and the weight changes in dyeing and coning. This is yarn dyeing ERP in the strict sense.
- Dyeing houses and job-work dyers who need to track batches, machines, operators, dye and chemical consumption, and QC holds.
- Yarn traders and stockists who mainly need inquiries, quotations, party credit, brokers, GST invoicing and collections.
- Businesses that sell through brokers and need broker commission calculated per kg, per cent or fixed, by order, product, party or group.
- Design houses and fabric sellers with large design libraries that buyers want to search by look, not by file name.
- Owners who live on WhatsApp, where most orders start as a chat, and units that have outgrown Excel and Tally on the production and broker side.
It is less of a fit for a large integrated spinning mill that already runs a full corporate ERP, or for a business that only needs accounting. For those, a focused add-on — a textile CRM, a WhatsApp inquiry layer or a visual design search — is usually the better first step. See the textile and apparel industry page for more on where automation helps across the sector.
What does a textile ERP from Yukti AI include?
The module list below comes from the Filyarn yarn ERP, plus the AI visual search we built for a Surat textile design house. We build only what your unit needs, but every module shares one dataset — so a stock figure, a party balance and a broker entry are the same number everywhere they appear.
| Module | What it does | Why it matters for a textile business |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp inbox & textile CRM | Unified inbox of customer chats; one click turns a message into an inquiry with quantity in kg, colour, yarn type and count pre-filled for staff to confirm | Orders that start as a chat become proper records instead of screenshots |
| Pipeline, follow-ups & quotations | Inquiries move New → Contacted → Quotation Sent → Negotiation → Won; quotations use the price master, GST, payment days and validity; large quotes need approval | No quotation is forgotten, and an accepted quote becomes a sales order in one step |
| Party 360 & credit | Party master with GSTIN, credit limit, payment days, broker and salesperson; one page for sales, outstanding, overdue, interest and credit used | The salesperson sees if a party is over its limit before quoting |
| Recipe / BOM & material planning | Per-kg recipe of raw yarn, dye, chemicals, coning and packing material with expected loss and gain; requirement compared with free stock; shortages flagged | Material is reserved before dyeing starts, and the purchase team hears about a shortage early |
| Order calculator & costing | Cost per kg from raw yarn, dye, chemicals, labour, overhead, transport and brokerage, compared with the selling rate, with a margin alert | Sales sees the margin before a rate is promised |
| Dyeing, coning & packing | Dye batches with machine, operator, input and output kg; weight gain or loss calculated; cone lots and packing lots with cheese and carton counts | Production stops being verbal updates and becomes data you can trend |
| Quality control | Every packed lot is checked for shade, count, moisture, strength and appearance; a hold blocks the order until rework and re-inspection | Off-shade yarn cannot be invoiced by mistake |
| Inventory & purchase | Raw yarn, dyes, chemicals and packing with reserved and free quantities, one stock ledger, suggested purchases, suppliers and payables | Every closing balance has a trail |
| GST invoice, e-invoice & e-way bill | Tax invoice in the company's own printed format, CGST/SGST or IGST by party state, freight and round-off; IRN and e-way bill screens; dispatch with transporter, vehicle and LR | The customer's accountant gets a correct, familiar invoice every time |
| Receivables & interest | Ageing buckets, credit utilisation, top overdue accounts; interest with a configurable rate, basis and grace days; payments and part payments | Overdue parties are on the dashboard, not hidden in ledgers |
| Broker commission | Brokerage per kg, per cent or fixed, set at order, product, party or group level, falling back to the broker default; entry created on every invoice | Broker commission stops being a month-end calculation |
| Dashboards, approvals & audit log | Order tracking and bottleneck boards, approval thresholds, notices for shortages, QC failures and credit breaches, a full audit log, ten role-based views | The owner sees which order is stuck where, and who changed what |
| AI visual design search (separate build) | Search a design library by a fabric photo or by words such as "pink floral border design", returning the closest designs with design code and similarity score | Buyers choose by look; your catalogue can finally be searched by look too |
How does one yarn order flow through the system?
In the Filyarn build every order carries one of 12 stages: Inquiry, Quotation, Order, Material Planning, Dyeing, Coning, Packing, QC, Ready, Invoice, Dispatch and Payment. An order board shows every order by stage with the days spent in that stage. The system will not advance an order that is on QC hold or lacks the stock to issue, which keeps the data honest. Each step writes to the order timeline and the audit log, so the order record tells its own story.
How is broker commission calculated?
Brokerage can be per kg, a percentage of the taxable value or a fixed amount. A rule can be set at order, product, party or group level, or fall back to the broker's default, with precedence in that order. When an invoice is posted, the system creates a brokerage entry with the basis it used, keeps it pending and lets accounts mark it paid. Broker-wise sales and top brokers are reports, not a separate register.
Does it handle GST e-invoice and e-way bill for textile?
The tax invoice reproduces the unit's own printed format — billed-to and consignee, challan, HSN, carton, cheese, weight, rate and amount — and splits GST into CGST and SGST or charges IGST by comparing the party's state with yours. Dedicated screens list each invoice's IRN, acknowledgement and e-way bill, and dispatch records the transporter, vehicle and LR number. In the Filyarn prototype the e-invoice and e-way bill values are simulated: no government API is called yet. Connecting a GST provider is the integration step in a production build.
What changes when a textile unit moves to one system?
The left column describes manual work in general terms, as it is commonly done in textile units — not any one client's words. The right column is what the systems we built do.
| Without one system | With a textile ERP |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp messages retyped into quotations | One click turns a chat into an assigned inquiry, pre-filled for staff to confirm |
| Dye, chemical and packing needs worked out by hand for every order | Recipe-based material requirement with stock reserved and shortages flagged |
| No view of which order is stuck at dyeing, coning, packing or QC | Order tracking and bottleneck boards showing every stage and the days spent there |
| Invoice maths, freight and round-off checked manually | The GST tax invoice computed by one engine in your own layout |
| Broker commission and customer interest calculated at month end | Brokerage resolved by rule on every invoice; interest and ageing computed from settings |
| Overdue parties found by scrolling through ledgers | Receivables, credit utilisation and top overdue accounts on the dashboard |
| Designs found by folder name and filename | Designs found by a fabric photo or a typed description (visual search build) |
How does AI help a textile business — and what is actually built?
"AI for the textile industry" is used loosely, so here is the precise picture across our two textile builds.
AI that is built: visual design search
A Surat textile design house had a library of roughly 80,000 print and embroidery-look designs for ladies' ethnic wear — suits, sarees, dupattas, lehengas — that could only be searched by folder and filename. Yukti AI built image similarity search: a buyer's fabric photo, or a typed description such as "pink floral border design", returns the eight closest designs in the chosen category, each with its design code and a similarity score. We profiled the real files first, fixed the colourway-collage problem with automatic main-panel cropping, and tested OpenAI against Google Vertex AI embeddings head to head before choosing Vertex AI. On the worst colourway-sheet test case, the correct design moved from rank 70 of 97 to rank 1 after cropping. The build took about 7 days and runs as two search apps plus an n8n search workflow. Google Lens can't do this, because it searches the public web, not your private catalogue.
Automation that is built: the yarn ERP
The Filyarn ERP has no language model and makes no AI calls. Its automation is rule-based: WhatsApp messages parsed by keyword and number matching into a pre-filled inquiry, recipe-based material requirement and shortage alerts, brokerage resolved by rule, interest computed from settings, approval thresholds and notices for QC failures and credit breaches. That is real automation for a textile business, and it creates the clean, structured data that AI needs.
Possible AI extensions (not built yet)
- Reading messy multilingual inquiry messages or voice notes into an inquiry.
- Drafting quotation replies for staff to approve.
- Flagging dye batches with unusual weight loss against the recipe's expected percentage.
- Summarising overdue accounts and suggesting purchases ahead of the season.
- Answering plain-language questions about reports.
These are realistic next steps because every inquiry, batch, invoice and broker entry is already structured in one place. That is the idea behind an AI ERP.

How much does textile ERP software cost in Surat, and how long does it take?
A custom ERP from Yukti AI starts from ₹30,000. A full textile ERP with CRM, production, QC, inventory, invoicing and brokerage costs more; the final quote comes after a free workflow audit, once we know your stages, roles and integrations.
On timing: Focused builds — a Shopify store, one automation, a single-module system — typically take about 7–10 days. A multi-module ERP or CRM usually takes a few weeks depending on scope. A WhatsApp inquiry-to-quotation layer or a broker commission module on its own is a focused build. A full dyeing-to-dispatch ERP is a multi-module build.
The free audit is a 30-minute call — or a visit, since we are in Varachha, Surat. We look at how inquiries arrive, how recipes and batches are tracked, how invoices and brokers are handled, and where the time goes. Clear scope, no obligation. Why a custom build instead of off-the-shelf textile ERP software in India?
Packaged textile ERP products are usually built around fabric, garments or trading. A dyed-yarn manufacturer's logic is different: recipes per kilogram, shade-wise SKUs, weight gain in dyeing, cheese and carton counts, and brokerage that changes by party. Tally and Excel handle the ledger but not the production. A custom build lets the data model follow your unit's workflow, keeps your invoice in the format your customers already know, and avoids paying per user, per module, every year.
